This game is the best one I've played
I know I gave the game three stars but I love this game. The car customization is far better than Nascar 1. I liked the fact that now there is Dale Earnhardt, Darrell Waltrip, and Dale Jarrett, which wasn't in Nascar 1. I don't see why Daytona International Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway wouldn't let Papyrus put in the game, I mean Papyrus create Indy as an expansion for Indycar Racing. I will end this review by saying why I gave it three stars, the game is old and doesn't really measure up to Nascar 3, or even Grand Prix Legends (I have that one). If you can't afford anything better, get NASCAR 2.

I like this.
I don't know about All-American, but I have Nascar Racing 2 and it's great. Still, there should be a special "in honor of" version of Nascar '01 because Dale Earndhart has died. N2 is a good game, but it gives you too many options like you can be invincible, and things like that.

Fantastic game, computer graphics outstanding. True swing, I've found" THE BEST" Closest to the real thing.I can't get enough. Just ask my wife!! I'm happy to report I shot a 13 under on your Coeur d' Alene Resort Golf CourseSierra keep up the good work!!!

One of the best on the market
If your looking for a realistic golf game, this is my favorate and most likely will become one of yours. Sure there are some bugs but Sierra has patches that fixed the initial problems I had(one of the reasons I love Serria games). The ability to make your own courses is both fun and challening. The ability to compete in single payler seasons is great fun for single palers. The graphics are great and play is smooth.

PGA 2000 could be a great game - except
I looked forward to the release of this game.However, for those of us that don't want to discontinue the tri-click method of play, the game has slipped the other direction.The tri-click power bar surges - it is not a smooth movement like the past game, making it impossible to control.This takes much of the fun out of playing and under par scores are almost unable to obtain for the higher skilled players (under very good consitions I have scored as low as 58 on one course in the past version). The program crashes sometimes for no reason. The announcer says things that don't make sense more than in the past version. The ball sometimes disappears for no reason - in comparing ball lies on greens during the scramble play mode. Shadows of players and flags change color to purple sometimes - I turned off that function.

Could be the best game out there if the bugs are removed and if the manufacturer releases more sites to play - not just those from wonswap - these often crash during the download process.

If you want to use mouse movement for your swing - this is probably the way to go.

a great game
Please understand that this is my first golf game, so my comments should be understood in that context.I never thought I could have so much fun with a golf game.It took me over two years to convince myself to try one and I don't regret it at all.The mouse swing is fabulous.Instead of having to click on a meter of sorts to guage your shot, you just move the mouse to strike the ball, and it is a very intuitive thing.You pull back on the mouse to begin the swing and then move it forward to strike the ball.On screen the golfer holds the club and follows the mouse movement.You dont have to click the mouse during the swing. The faster you move the mouse, the longer the shot and vice-versa.You have to take into account the wind velocity and direction, and try not to slice or hook it.Very nicely done.

The only annoyance I have is that the game will sometimes crash for no apparent reason.A message will appear stating that the program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down, and the next thing you know you're looking at the desk top.Every time this has happened, I have gone back to the game and I will see a message which states the game was abnormally shut down, and asks if I would like to resume play.I click "yes" and I pick up exactly where I left off.The scores are intact, the hole the same etc.

All in all, this is a very enjoyable game.

Great multiplayer. OK single player.
I'll begin by saying that the multiplayer features are very entertaining.Being able to customize your player's appearance, taunt other players, andwatch players dance around during play is hilarious.

However, the singleplayer game is not as developed as some other golf games I have played. Ifyou try to hit the ball when a player's animation sequence starts, nothinghappens until the animation is complete and then the swing startsunexpectedly. Some of the announcer's comments don't make any sense. Ofcourse, you can turn the comments off. Also, the program crashes in themiddle of a game occasionally. Although a crashed game can be recovered,sometimes the program continues to crash on the recovered game. There areother frustrating areas, but all games have their quirks.

Overall, thisgame is great for multiplayer but, if you're looking for something to playby yourself, you should definately shop around first. ... Read more

r/cacing just like the real thing
Being a veteran r/c racer I came across the demo and played it. The way the cars sound and act on the track is the best simulation of r/c racing I have ever seen and, the best part is that its made by traxxas. Traxxas is one of the top dogs in the r/c racing scene.In fact my first pure bred top of the line race truck was a Traxxas blue eagle. I can't use trophy hunter 4 anymore
I have been enjoying this Field & Stream Trophy Hunting 4 for several years now I up dated my computer to Windows XP and the game won't work do you have an update for this so I can still enjoy this game let me know by E-mail

lack of game support
Hello I felt like sticking my 2 cents into this stuff. I bought this game for the online advertisingthey pasted everywhere and from the bottom of the box in the requirements .
Serria hasn't ever botheredsticking a server up for the online play when you log onto the online menu and create your acct they tell you there is no server up and they do not have any ETA to get a server up ,(2 YEARS NOW) no server yet .
Game play is real goodcan't lie and tell you that it isn'tand the AI are very intelligent , but from lack of company support and the company liesI wouldn't recommend anyone buy a seirra/vivendi game (These people have lied with every word that has fallen from their lips about their games ) .
if you like single player this game is awsome but never count on this game being online .....

Trophy hunting 5 the best hunting game on the market
Field and stream trophy hunting 5 has the best animation on the market. One can hunt 8 different animals in 13 different locations. Take it from a lifelong hunter these animals move and react in a far more realistic fashion than any other hunting game. This opinion is based on personal experience with ever game on the market. These animals are highly intellegent and the locations have excellent visual appearances. The Bow hunting is far supperior to most games which add bow and arrow without any real interest in the realism. If anyone can show me a hunting game that matches this one I'd be very surprised. I play this game on a 500 mega hertz machine with voodoo 5 video card and 256 RAM. I'm not sure how other systems play this game but a first rate video card and audio program are a must. In closing I would recommend this game to all my hunting assosiates, and all interested in realistic computer hunting.

Becareful buying...
Nowhere did I see the requirements for a video card on this item until after we had it installed.Guess what...we may be out of our money.My son got a gift certificate and was excited that he could pick his own game but he made a bad choice.Still looking to see if we can someway get our money back for an opened cd. :(

Wonderful game - Sierra does it again
Well Sierra did it again with Trophy Hunting 5. The graphics and gameplay are superb. I went out to buy a different Sierra game (Trophy Bass 4) could no find one and bought this instead. I had a preveous version of Cabellas Hunting and was very dissapointed, took it off my PC ina matter of weeks. This one from Sierra will remain. Also noted on the manual for Trophy Hunting 5 was a promo for Sierra's Trophy Bass 5. So I guess I was lucky I did not get the older version I set out to buy. Trophy Hunting is by far the most involving game, of this type, on the market!I couldn't believe how pretty everything was... I mean, we're talking about a hunting game, right? Wow!The worlds are HUGE and thevaried animal species makes for a lot of exciting exploration.I don'teven need to find any wild life sometimes.I just enjoy walking throughthese 'real' locations and marvel at the fog and rain and other forms ofenvironmental tie-ins.When I did finally locate an elk, I was shocked tofind that I was out of breath and that I was being quiet (in front of mycomputer) so I wouldn't scare the animal away.Silly, huh?Well, that'swhat I would have thought too had I not played this goofy game.I amimpressed.With a hunting game.Try it and see; you'll know what what I'mtalking about when you get it.This is definately a keeper:)(...and I'mnot even a hunter, I'm a school teacher)

It's a great gameif you don't have windows XP!
My daughter and I love this game but my only problem with it is that it won't work that well on my computer because I have windows XP and everytime it freezes and I have problems playing it!They said that there is nothing I could do about! I wish they made a fishing game that would work on windows XP but they don't! My daughter and I are very upset! Other then that it is a great game if you don't have windows XP!!

It's a fun game alot of different fish!

Great Game
PGA Championship Golf is a great game. It has wonderful graphics and many courses. Many other golf games only have two or three courses, but PGA has about 8 (not exactly sure). This makes the game countinue to beinteresting, even after months. It works good on slow computers, the redrawtime on a P166 is 2 seconds; pretty quick. You can create players, anddetail them down to their shoe color and style. There is an included set of"Tour Players" you can play a tournament with, which is nice forsome competition.The biggest plus is the course designer. It comesincluded, and is very easy to use. It is very user friendly, and alsodetailed. You can even put sounds onto your course, and the radius in whichthe players will hear it. PGA is a great, fun golf game. It is beautiful ina graphics standpoint, and fun to play. It may be the best golf game on themarket, even better than Links LS 2000. Enjoy this wonderful game!:)

Great golf game
I have been playing Links for years, and tried this title mostly for the course designer.To my surprise, the game is loads of fun. It has more of a 3D feel than links as far as the graphics go.The course designer isreally cool. It takes a lot of time, but there is nothing like playing yourlocal courses on the computer in the middle of winter whenthere is snowon the ground.My only complaint is aiming your shot is a little moredifficult than Links.

Excellent Golf Sim
This is a very good golf simulation. The graphics are great, even on a PC without 3d cards.You have different options for play, Tri-Click or Trueswing. The Trueswing has 2 options, horizontal or vertical (Verticalyou pull back and move forward the mouse while horizontal you move left toright) Tri-Click is a bar that move up and down (Power bar) and you clickwhere it reaches your desired power. I prefer trueswing because i think itsmore realistic. The are 7 courses with game but you can download new onesfrom the internet. Also a course architect which lets you make your owncourse. There are 3 types of play, recreation, practice and tournaments. Intournaments you can play individually or in team play. I could go on moreabout the features and there are alot more but this is just a great gameand anyone, golf player or not should have this in their game collection. ... Read more

PGA Championship Review
Ilove the play.I use a track ball rather than a mouse and find the gaming a lot of fun and pretty accurate.The fact that there are so many courses to choose from eliminates any boredom.I have used the 3 step system on other golf games and find them very stiff.It's too bad that you have discontinued this.I looked for a long time before I found it gathering dust on a shelve.

Great play but Course Architect is awful
The play style in this game is wonderful utilizing a new concept in the swing called TrueSwing.TrueSwing uses the mouse to make a complete stroke instead of doing the old three click.To make a stroke you move the mouse back and then forward.Line of movement and speed determines ball flight and distance which really simulates a golf swing.The detail is beautiful, and there are quite a few golf courses out there to download.

The really bad part is that the Course Architect is a horrible tool for designing golf courses.Initially you cannot put holes over water or make holes to your liking (say a 100yd par 3), with the Course Wizard. There are ways around this but the principles are difficult to master and very tedious.I miss the old design program of Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear which allowed you to freely "paint" a course without limits, and I still think the design style of that old program were leagues ahead of this one.If you enjoy sitting there and making constant design adjustments due to what I see as a flaw in the program design, then this program is for you.If you want to be able to architect a course from scratch without worrying about whether your "water shape" overlaps your "fairway shape" then look elsewhere.

Don't buy
Thius game is very unrealistic. If you are a serious racing simulation fan, it is a waste of your money!
Graphics are ok, control is awful, car response is unrealistic. Sick with Grand Prix III.

Not quite what it appears...
Unfortunately, this game does not offer "Total Immersion", or what the box says.

First off, I'm still trying to figure out how to get 24 cars on the track at the same time (I've only managed 18), perhaps that is something I need to unlock.

To me, "immersion" indicates simulation.Why?It means something that makes you feel like you are actually there, to immerse yourself into the virtual world.

There are really no crashes, no car damage (That i've managed to find yet????), and the graphics really aren't really all that pretty compared to some other games.

I suppose if you are a fan of Sports Car GT, or Test Drive Lemans/24 Hours of Lemans, then this game should fit the next step up in gaming.

But if you are like me, and in desperate want of an actual immersed racing experience, walk away... quickly.

Good when your bored.
If your looking for good action, cutting edge graphics, and or a surreal sound experience ... keep looking.

But if your looking for an easy game to waste some time, and like the "outdoors man" spoof concept.Then the various "Avenger" games are a good place to start.Once figured out the K.I.S.S. style controls (keep it simple stupid) make for a rapid learning curve.I drop this one, or Deer 1 or 2, in when I'm bored and not in the mood to dig into a long play game.

The one draw back to the "Avenger" games is the obvious, and generally simple patterns.Although "Deer 2" did a markedly better job of upping the difficulty.

The only real challenge to this game is trying to beat your times and weights.

good for awhile
At the beginning, this game is very fun and exciting.The Bass's wisecracks and baits used to catch the fisherman are hilarious.After awhile you learn which baits to use for every different kind of fisherman and soon enough you have caught all the different "species."The problem with this is once you match the bait and fisherman it gets really easy to catch them which makes the game extremely boring.

Good 1st Fishing game
This is an interesting twist from the creators of Deer Avenger. Normally I don't care for fishing games but I thought what's the harm in trying something new. It is so cool! Funny dialogue, hysterical lures to get the fisherman in. Kinda hard the first couple of times since I have never played a fishing game before but gets much easier as you learn the ropes. not very easy to use
I found it annoying having to waste ten minutes walking to the opposite end of the area to find a deer. Deerhunter allows you to just click and drag yourself to wherever. Also, the maps do not show the location of the bridges so, if you shoot an animal and it runs across the river(which the hunter cannot) you have to potentially go all the way across the game to find the bridge, cross it, go all the way back, and bag your claim,while the other animals have conveniently made their way to the opposite side again....

Field & Stream Big Game Trophy Hunter
I found F&S BGTH a really good game to play. I especially enjoyedhunting fro elk and Bear because it provides a real challenge.Grapics arepretty good in this game and sound effects are great.I would recommend thisgame to all keen hunters and game players alike.One of the best huntinggames on the market.
