5-0 out of 5 stars Sheer brilliance
I can see how its fun. However,it is just like the game Dark Age of Camelot. Here there are three Realms which you can join - Albion, which is similair to England and is based on the Arthurian Lgends, Hibernia - which is based on celtic legend and Midgard - which is based on the Norse Mythology. Here, you can have 8 characters on each server, and play any number of the current 18 races: Trolls Dwarves Kobolds Norseman Valykn Frostalf Briton Highlander Avalonian Saracen Iconnu Half Ogre Elf Lurikeen Firbolg Celt Sylvan Shar. Each realm has individual classes, including ArmsmanCabalistCleric FriarInfiltratorMercenary MinstrelPaladinScoutSorcerorTheurgistWizardReaverNecromancerVikingWarriorSkald beserkerthaneSavageBonedancerRunemasterSpiritmasterShamanHealerHunterShadowbladeBardBlademasterChampionDruidEldritchEnchanterHeroMentalistNightshadeRangerWardenAnimistValewalker. Then, join with the thousands of players in your realm and go to fight in epic battles and huge sieges.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and Addictive!
This game is definatly a keeper. After the first few days of playing you are hooked. Even though you have to pay a monthly fee, you'll find that it is well worth it.

Choose between 3 exciting realms, Midgard, Albion and Hibernia. Then choose between your favorite type of class, whether that is rouge, caster, fighter, or healer. In the game, you will find that leveling is a must, and with each new level you earn points to advance your self. The whole idea of leveling and finding your way around is difficult at first but becomes easier later on. Certain things come with certain levels such as:
Level 5: Choose your main class, instead of you base class, and specialize in new and more exciting abilities.
Level 10: Earn the right to a last name.
Level 15: The first level you can enter Battle Grounds, also known by BG's. There are 4, BG0, BG1, BG2, and BG3. 15-19 BG0. These are RvR area's (Realm vs. Realm) where you can tear at the other realms and battle for center keep. Here you are fighting useing your skills agaisnt real people, not just creaters in the game.
Level 20: Guild embelem. BG1 20-24 (I've found not very active)
Level 25: BG2 Also not a very active Battle Ground.
Level 30: Ahhh yes, one of the most enjoyable levels (I thought) you can go into BG3 which is a very exciting, jam-packed Battle Ground. This level also enables exciting new areas to go in!
35+: You can go into the frontier battleing Levels from 35-50, enjoy new and better groups, find newer and exciting guilds, get better items, and help lower levels. Gets very fun from here on...

It's not just the leveling and gameplay of the game, you can build strong social relationships, make friends with other people, I even have relatives who I play with in the game all the time. Find new guilds, the real people playing in the game make it all the funner. Having some one to talk to as you play is always fun.

Enjoy! ... Read more

Amazon.com Product Description

In Diablo II, players return to a world of dark fantasy. As one of five distinct character types, players will explore the world of Diablo II, journey across distant lands, fight new villains, discover new treasures, and uncover ancient mysteries. The Collectors Edition includes the four-CD game, a 24-minute Diablo II movie on DVD and in letter-box format, the 70-minute soundtrack, and the D&D Diablo II pen-and-paper box set for playing D&D in the Diablo II setting.

Since the beginning of time, the forces of order and chaos have been engaged in an eternal struggle to decide the fate of all creation. That struggle has now come to the mortal realm, and neither man, demon, nor angel will be left unscathed.

Diablo, lord of terror, and youngest of the three prime evils, awoke from his long sleep beneath the dark earth. Setting in motion a grand scheme to free his exiled brothers, Mephisto and Baal, Diablo took control of the small western kingdom of Khanduras. Working from deep within the ancient catacombs beneath the town of Tristram, Diablo gripped the entire populace in a blanket of fear and paranoia.

Ultimately, as even Khanduras's good King Leoric fell under Diablo's wicked power, a lone hero arose to challenge the darkness that had engulfed the land. After plumbing the hellish depths of the labyrinth under Tristram, the nameless hero finally confronted the lord of terror himself. Knowing full well that Diablo's spirit could never be truly destroyed, the hero made the noblest sacrifice of all: casting his soul and his very sanity aside, the hero took the spirit of Diablo into himself, hoping that his own strength of will could contain the demon within. The hero could never have known that his selfless act would not only ensure Diablo's victory, but would also irrevocably damn his soul for all time. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Diablo II RULES
If you don't already have Diablo II, GET IT!It will provide hours of fun for all players.I hope you enjoy this game!

5-0 out of 5 stars Diablo 2 is AWESOME
THE BEST RPG GAME I EVER PLAYED!!!

Read all the other 5-star reviews, I am pretty sure it's all cover there.

2-0 out of 5 stars Boring
I don't care for any of the Diablo games. If you want a game that you have to click your mouse button 50 times to kill a guy, buy this game.Overall, there are alot of better games to buy for your $60 bucks

5-0 out of 5 stars All that, and TWO bags of chips
I was one of the lucky few to recieve this product back when it was first offered. The soundtrack was excellent, as was the DVD. Even though the DVD only showed the 5 movies of each act [Including Epilogue], it also has several trailers, including Warcraft III, Starcraft and Brood Wars, and a few others.

Unfortunately, the add-in "build your own dungeon" was not to my liking. Fine for its own spinoff, but Dungeons and Dragons is not all about just killing. I feel a lot of roleplaying may be lost... but maybe that's just me.

All in all, an excellent purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars Golems & Skeleton Mages!
This is not the ordinary version of Diablo II that is usually seen on the shelves in stores. The box alone is almost twice the size of the normal. With this version, you get a few extra items.Among them, is the CD, which has the background music from the game.It is best described as mood music, with an eerie feeling to it.Another item you get is the DVD, which has all the cut scenes on it.My recommendation is not to watch this until you have beaten the game in normal difficulty. It will be a spoiler if you do.

As my friend said, this collector's edition will haunt your room if you keep the box in sight. It almost seems as though the box is looking at you in the darkness enticing you to play it.Be warned though about Diablo II... it is known to be addictive, causing countless hours of sleeplessness, possible relationship problems with your significant other, not to mention your job security. If you can withstand the temptations, it's a lot of fun to destroy Diablo & enjoy a good multiplayer game with your friends. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars I Had High Hopes...
I had High hopes for This Lord of The Rings Game.
It started out beautifully. Vivid graphics, beautiful landscapes to explore. But by the 3rd level or so you start to realize the repetiveness in the game. The battle play was awesome for Aragon and The Grey Wizard, but Frodo's battle play was lack luster and boring. The story line lacked much compared to the books and the movie. And the enemies were easy to moderate in difficulty.
This game had a chopped up ending aswell. An easy to beat Boss at the end and an ending that wasn't even half as desent as the ending of the acctual Fellowship.
It left much to be desired.

2-0 out of 5 stars Hardware is NB to run this game
Was given this game by my wife (the first and last time she has ever bought me a game) and was extremely disappointed that I could not run it on my system because my graphics card does not handle texturing and shading.

I am running a top of the range laptop system, and even with a P4 1.8 with 512meg DDR, 64 meg graphics adaptor - I still could not run the graphics.

Be warned! This game will only run if your graphics card handles T&S.

Apart from that problem, I am glad I got to change the game for another, as the reviews I have read on the gameplay are not good at all.I ended up getting Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind which is the best game I have ever had.

Skip this one, and move onto Morrowind, and say goodbye to your real life!

5-0 out of 5 stars sounds great
i haven't played it yet but it sounds preety cool ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Very intresting!!!!
I first got this game when the traveling Titanic museum came to Chicago and they were selling it.It's been a while, but it never ceases to amaze and entertain me.
Yeah, it freezes sometimes but if you save it often, you'll be okay.

As a Titanic buff I can tell you that the detail- down to the tiles on the floor and china- are accurate.

The game has many twists and turns and you have many different options, which makes the playing never get old or boring.
The theme music is kinda freaky though- esp. when the Titanic is sinking beneath your feet and you can't jump anywhere, you're running about like a chicken with his head cut off! That is why I always turn the theme music off.The game always makes me rather nervous- the people you meet *cough, Vlad, Zeitel*can be a bit weird and intimadating, esp. when their trying to kill you.The game is almost erie (sp?)It's very fun though and I would reccomend it to anyone with a slight intrest in Titanic or history.
I promise you- by the time you are done playing this game for the first time, you will have a much better understanding and a different kind of sympathy for the people there on that fateful night.
Also, to get in the "Titanic" mood, rent the two Titanic movies!!!Very fun!

The best advice I could give you is to save before any kind of meeting with Vlad and/or Zeitel. PLEASE, JUST DO IT!!! Believe me.I learned the hard way.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent software
I have Titanic Adventure Out Of Time, and it's so much fun!!It's so realistic too.The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it always freezes on me if I go too fast.I have to make my character go around the ship really slowly, and save my game every 3 minutes, which is really annoying.Other than that, it's a fantastic game! =)

4-0 out of 5 stars Go back to 1912 and find out what it was like on the Titanic
I would like for readers to know that this is an review for Titanic: Adventure Out of Time. This means that I am not rating/reviewing any other item that may be included in this product. Thanks

Cyberflix has outdone themselves. Titanic is a masterpiece. I am a Titanic buff and eveny I found it to be a marvel. Titanic has rerisen. The wonderful graphics almost deserve to be on Playstation2. The charcters I found to be really realistic. Like in other adventure games like Oregon Trail 2 they just move their mouthes. But every thing else is still. In Titanic, everything moves. When they move their hand the clothing has ripples and their skin moves just like a human. You also get to say what you want not just what the computer player has to say. BUY THIS! The only error I had was it froze and I couldn't find a patch for it that worked. That is the only reason for it to have 4 stars.

Rating Titanic: Adventure Out of Time

Graphics 10/10
Realistic Enviorment* 10/10
Realistic Characters 10/10
Easy Controls 10/10
Suspense & Other Action 10/10
Errors & Other Problems~ 4/10

*REALISTIC ENVIORMENT IS HOW REALISTIC THE ENVIORMENT AROUND YOU IS. EXAMPLE: The door frames or details on the lifts etc.

~ERRORS & OTHER PROBLEMS ARE BASED ON HOW MANY ERRORS I OCCURRED. EXAMPLE: Freezing during gameplay. This is a great annoyence when playing an adventure game. This counts as a lot of points!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Titanic: Adventure
This has to be, without a doubt, the best computer game I have ever played- better, even, than the "Sims". Although I have only played "Titanic, Adventure Out of Time", and not the extra CD-Rom, I must saw that "Adventure" is unabatedly amazing. You are Frank Carlson, a British secret service agent (cough::Bond::cough) who has been dismissed after a failure on the "titanic mission" in the midst of WWII. However, a German bomb blows you back into the Titanic, where you get one more chance to complete your mission, and stop WWI, WWII, and the Russian Revolution. The graphics of the Titanic were detailed and excellent, while the characters were so realistic inmovement and speech that one could not believe that they were AI (I nearly cried at a favorite character's death). The best part about this game, though, is the way that history and seemingly small actions can save the world from war. The way that WWII is stopped is particularly funny. While this game is hard and requires many "getting objects quickly" scenarios, every object, if lost, has a backup way. I know at least one way to win in which you participate in the optional Georgia-poison subplot, but there must be many more. Good luck aboard the Titanic!

PS: You may find yourself playing this game over and over, just to find different ways to win. This is completely normal

5-0 out of 5 stars An Exceptional and somewhat frightening game!
"Titanic, Adventure out of time" is a wonderful game with beautiful graphics! You can meet Many characters from the elegant first class residents like Georgia Lambeth, to the poor less fortunate third class like Jack Hacker, you even meet up with a stowaway at some points in the game, some aren't so pleasant (i.e. when you get into a fight with him trying to get up the smokestack). All the people give you loads of information, except for the Gorse Jones's from Othwhistle or some other city, all they do is tell you useless info about shops and people who own Macy's or something. While some of the characters are very friendly and fun, some are absolutely terrifying, the one that I think just makes your hair stand on end is Vlad the stowaway. Your boss Penny Pringle will really help you on your journey. As will Leyland Trask, the psychic reader. I would really recommend this to anybody who loves the Titanic and/or history. I hope my review was helpful! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A real unbiased review
I am a Blizzard fan, I have bought many of the previous games that the company released like Starcraft and Warcraft 2, both of which are not only some of the best games I have ever played, but in the case of Starcraft, the single best game I have ever played and a game which I probably have played more than any other game.So I had high expectations of Diablo 2.

Diablo 2 feature pretty impressive sound, good multiplayer, and is a mildly fun game. The only real problem though, ends up being the downfall of the whole game.Diablo 2 doesn't have a real good story and is almost totally linear, not involving many tasks that are not part of the storyline. Now a lot of times this is not a problem. However, in Diablo 2, it's linear nature is a huge problem because of the pedantic gameplay. The gamplay is fun for a couple hours, but by the time you reach act 3, you will be totally sick of just hacking through millions of monsters at every turn, and i'm not kidding, there are monsters everywhere in this game. Now the game being linear, there is nothing to take away from the boredom and frustration of fighting millions of monsters.

After I beat this game I decided to check out the game on the internet, as this is usually where blizzard games shine.Unfortunately, in Diablo 2, there is no real difference between the internet gameplay and the single player gameplay. On the internet, you and other players are stuck in games of about 8 people, where the mission is to journey through the 4 stages of the first person game. That was a major shock to me, as I thought that if blizzard had made the multiplayer game include new maps and more pvp combat with allies against allies and goals to accomplish it would make up for the bad single player experience.Unfortunately blizzard did not do this, and I gave up playing the game totally because after playing the levels on the internet with a new character i had to level up from the beggining, I realized that it was more of a chore than fun.

In the end I can say only a couple good things about this game: one the cinema scenes are spectacular, and two the multiplayer network is so solid from years of hosting diablo and starcraft that even though i did not like playing the game, i would play every once in awhile by getting sucked in through talking with people in the battlenet chat boards.

If this isn't your opinion, fine, but I have been fair in this review to the best of my abilities.

5-0 out of 5 stars Diablo 2 is better then many reviewers think.
I'm sorry, but I can't stand seeing all these, "Corrupted Reviewers", make this game sound like it's not worth buying.

My friend thought Diablo 2 was stupid, then he played it. He was hooked.

"Why does this 9'2 550 pound guy pop like a water ballon filled with red paint?" Because he's a Super Unique monster, and he's not 9'2, 550 pounds. How many RPGs are there that are like real life? Is it bad for an RPG to not be like real life?

You "reviewers", as you like to call yourselves, don't know Pong from Quake 3. I am not saying I am the best reviewer, I'm saying I am putting up the truth:

If Diablo 2 is so bad, why have so many people bought it? After years of it being out, why do I go on the internet, and see like 500 games hosted, if this game is so bad? Why has Diablo 2 sold over a million copys, if it is so bad?

As I saw in the review most of this review is built off of, everything is corrupted, and thats a "bad" thing. Do you pay attention to the story? "Yeah yeah, the forces of evil are comming to the earth... Why is everything corrupted? There's only Diablo, the Lord of Terror, and his brothers walking the earth - why is everything corrupted???"

"Why do a swarm of bugs have a certain name, and why do they drop items?" What are RPGs? Do you want to attack a swarm of (blank), and after killing it not get anything? "and how do you kill them with a sword?" You want un-killable corrupted bugs attacking you that you can't attack back? I think you would hate this game alot more if it was like that. What else would you do? Spray them with bug spray? I'm sorry, that's too much real life in games.

If you want the game to be so real, too bad. A Real Life game wouldn't be as great as you think. Do you want to do all the hard work you have to do every day in a game? Games have work to be done, but having to do what you do in real life is going too far. That is why The Sims you don't tell your Sims what to do while they are at work - who to take the papers to, what to write down - the game only get's so real - they are making The Sims 2, but they aren't improving it so much that it will be too real.

5-0 out of 5 stars Diablo came to Mac
A kick ... game with the battle.net option and get better going for a walk around the park killing deamons and undead creatures. Happy hunting!

5-0 out of 5 stars best computer game
OK, if your reading this your considering buying this game. Don't consider it, BUY IT! Here's a short list of the games characteristics:
- interesting quests
- completely costomizable characters
- great melee and spell combat
- incredible variation of skills
- great multiplayer capabilities (including party spells)
- good graphics and movement
- the best inventory and weopons' system I've ever seen
- very entrancing storyline
- awesome replay value

I BOUGHT THIS GAME A YEAR AGO AND I'M STILL PLAYING IT (not bored at all)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Stuff
This is a very very good game it has a realistic form of killing I know the demons and things like that are not real butttttt the whole idea that what if that could happen or is happening what would one have to go threw to stop the pain... This game is the common hero wins always buttttt it also has the hero can die part to it... I rememberin the few hours that it took for me to beat it that I was clenching my teeth from time to time hopeing that I will survive... Well after i beat it i figured what the hey lets have fun with the data it took to make the game... so i changed a few lines in the game to make it where i am invincible and i have any and all the weapons and unlimited space to place my items that is when it got really really fun... it wasn't the easiest game to make thatway buttttt i did it just to say i could... any ways the game is a must get don't play any other role playing game with out trying this one..... ...
