5-0 out of 5 stars Best RPG ever!!!
This game is sooooo fun.It also keeps you playing over and over again.I also like that none of the creatures your character has to kill are human.I love to build characters starting from the ground up and make them special according to how you pass out skills and stat points.

3-0 out of 5 stars A good collection, but technically disappointing
The biggest problem with this collection is its variable technical standards. While the cinematics presented here arguably look and sound better than the versions that come as part of the individual games (the WARCRAFT 3 and DIABLO 2 cinematics are presented here with optional Dolby 5.1 surround sound), they fall short of what is expected of the DVD standard.

DIABLO 2 and STARCRAFT are presented in non-anamorphic widescreen with a somewhat low bit rate. Both look quite blurry, although the contrast and color levels are quite good. However, their aspect ratio (which worked out at around 2.20:1 in the game versions) is not presented correctly. The image is stretched, resembling something like 1.85:1. I also felt that they were quite jerky, especially DIABLO 2.

WARCRAFT 3 is theoretically superior, with an anamorphic transfer. However, the image is marred by an odd "blocky" effect that look like the resolution was converted very poorly. While perhaps not noticeable on a small TV, it was clearly visible to me on my 48" widescreen. The positive side is that the colors are nice and deep, and there is none of the jerkiness that the other two titles exhibit.

The extras are mostly very good, with interesting audio commentaries. The WARCRAFT 3 commentaries are a little dry, but they do impart some interesting facts.

4-0 out of 5 stars Awesome CGI shorts on less than stellar DVDs
These CGI short films are collected from Blizzard games of the past few years - Starcraft, Diablo 2, and Warcraft 3.Great games in their own right, fans were amazed that the cinematics reached Hollywood-level quality.Early work in Starcraft was somewhat crude, but Blizzard's latest efforts are the best in the industry, showing subtle lighting effects and beautiful art design. No feature films, not Shrek or Monsters Inc or Final Fantasy, can match the wonderful mix of realism and exagerated fantasy in Blizzard's work.I strongly recommend this box set for any Sci-Fi, Fantasy, or gaming fan.

The DVDs are seperated, 1 for each game, and they come with standard extras - audio commentary for each film, concept artwork, storyboards, trailers and commercials, and even a Warcraft trivia game.I delve into each individual DVD below, but....

Sadly, this box set is less than perfect.Blizzard could have - should have - combined everything onto 1 DVD, there is so little material here.Instead, you get the same 3 DVDs already available for each of these games: the Starcraft DVD and the 2 DVDs from the collectors' editions of Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3.If you own these things already, you'll discover nothing new here.

Blizzard's greatest crime was to forget the cinematics for the Diablo 2 expansion, Lord of Destruction. You won't find it in this collection. The story for each game is hard to follow for anyone who hasn't played the games (although the audio commentary sometimes helps). Also, the enhanced resolution for these movies isn't that much of an improvement - Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 films look virtually the same, and Starcraft movie improve TOO much, such that their faults from old-age show through.

STARCRAFT:This DVD is the oldest, and the crudest, the simplest. However, it is interesting to watch Blizzard's artists grow, and the films are still entertaining, especially a Marine investigation on a science vessel that turns into a 5 minute remake of Aliens. The films from the Starcraft Expansion are considerably improved, more complex, more atmospheric. The story involves 3 races in a galactic war, with a huge cast of characters and events. The human Terrans are at war with each other when the organic Zerg horde attacks, while the mysterious Protoss wait in the shadows. The commentary will help you figure out the plot, and is entertaining in itself.

DIABLO 2: This is easily the best DVD of the 3, because the Diablo movies are the most compelling, most visually striking, and they tell a complete story, which runs parallel to the players' quest in the game.It follows the tragic failure of the Wanderer, a hero who once defeated Diablo, Lord of Terror, only to become possessed and later consumed by the demon. The films show incredible battles, one between Diablo and beautiful archangel Tyreal, and another in a burning inn, with skeletons and other nightmares leaping straight from the flames.

The game ended in a cliffhanger, and Blizzard choose not to include the films from the later expansion which resolved this. However, the teaser trailers for Diablo 2 are the best "new" material in the box set, because they show things you won't find in the game. There is also some early Blizzard CGI work, from Diablo 1 and Warcraft 2.Watch this, THEN watch Starcraft, and you'll understand why we were so excited when SC first came out.

WARCRAFT 3:While WC3 is the newest and technically the best of the DVDs, I feel that the artistic direction was somehow a step backwards for this game. The WC3 films are bright and very, very beautiful, but somehow they don't stand as "tall" as Diablo 2.

Warcraft 3, like Starcraft, has multiple races at war with each other. The human kingdoms are fighting each other when the Undead Scourge attack suddenly, all while the mysterious Night Elves wait in the shadows (sound familiar?).The orcs travel on a journey of racial freedom, and eventually join forces with the Elves and Humans to drive back a demonic invasion from another dimension, the Burning Legion.

Most of the films are very good, but those that feature the lord of the Burning Legion are boring, especially the climax of the story and the game, which was a major letdown. The audio commentary is also boring, getting lost in obscure technical details and not telling enough of the story to follow along.A Warcraft trivia game is a nice extra, though.

There, I hope I gave enough information... =)

5-0 out of 5 stars This is GRRRRREAT
Mine worked GREAT!Don't you know you could have gotten a dud or something?Or maybe your dvd player was just messed up.Anyway, all three of them worked perfectly for me, with PERFECT tranfers from the game cinematics. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Despite the Red Baron, the Sopwith Camel, zeppelins, and otherfamous reminders of the oft romanticized aerial battles of World War I,the conflict has been grossly underrepresented in the gaming world. That's a shame, because when a game as fun as Red Baron 3-Dcomes along it only leaves us wanting more. This upgraded version ofRed Baron 2 is vastly better than the game that preceded it,from the improved 3-D graphics (if you have a 3-D accelerator thatsupports the Glide API) to the new flight models.

Flight simulator fans used to screaming around the sky at mach 2 willbe in for a bit of a shock. Few of the planes exceed 150 mph, and mostof your time will be spent at double-digit speeds. However, the slowspeeds do not make for a boring game. Thanks to a handy timecompression feature, climbing to a reasonable altitude doesn't take toolong, and the inherent instability of these crates means activehandling is required at all times.

Many of the 22 flyable planes in the game are extremely fragile. Youcan actually hear the wing spars creak and groan as you pull tightturns, often followed by a sickening "snap!" when novices are at thecontrols. Players can fly a variety of single scenarios or participatein complete campaigns, but the real fun of Red Baron 3-D is theonline play. No matter how good you are at the single-player game, anexperienced human player will pull off moves that make your head spin.Fortunately this is one of those games where practicing is actuallyfun, and the game's low price (and free multiplayer component) onlyadds to the appeal. --T. Byrl Baker

Pros:

  • Much improved flight model
  • Graphics look great (if you have a Glide-compatible 3-D videoaccelerator)
  • Online multiplayer battles are a blast
Cons:
  • Players without a Glide-compatible video card will have to make dowith older graphics
  • Fragility of aircraft and lack of radar and advanced weapons makethe game difficult for beginners

5-0 out of 5 stars Best All Around WW1 Combat Flight Sim
Yes it is true! Dispite being released way back in, what was it, 1998? Red Baron 3D remains among the top of tier of combat flight sims.

If you are looking for this classic sim the bad news is that all origional published copies are sold out. The good news is that used copies are not hard to find. Shop around and try to get the actual Red Baron 3D game and not the upgradable Red Baron 2. Also, try and find a copy that includes the Red Baron 3D manual. This manual is chock full of everything you need to know about every aspect of the sim. There is a large section devoted to the pilots and aircraft of the period covered in the sim and lots of period photos. It resembles a paperback novel more than manuals found with PC games these days.

Other good news is that although the game/sim is old it has been lovingly modded and kept up to date by a large community of artists and programers. The game in its current state of modification hardly resembles the game as it was origionally shipped.

The Campaign in RB3D remains to this day the standard to which all others are held. Really, there is nothing else in the world of 3D flight sims that can compare to it. It is the key reason why so many have been flying and modding this sim over the years. Very little about the campaign is scripted. Once you take off from your aerodome how events unfold from then on depends largely on the decisions you make while in the air. While flying a mission there is a real sense of a war going on all around you. Looking off into the distance dogfights and ground fire that have nothing to do with your mission can be seen unfolding. I have seen planes little more than spects in the distance spinning out of control towards theearth shot down out of the sky, trailing smoke.

The game was programed to run on the now extinct 3dfx Voodoocards and Glide graphics. The game can be run in Direct Draw with modern video cards but it looks [...]. In order to run the game in Glide with a Nvidia or ATI card a Glide wrapper or simulator is used. The latest is called dgVoodoo and works great!

Anyway, I wanted to write up this review because the sim is still in use and message boards with enthuiastic modders and simmers from all over the world are currently active and they are a great place to getstarted and ask Qs about anything having to do withRed Baron 3D or any of its many mods and patches.

Here is a good place to start if you are ready to take the plunge!http://forums.delphiforums.com/swwisa/start

5-0 out of 5 stars Huge five stars for this awsome game!
A huge five stars: Still my favorite game after five years and three upgrades, Red Baron 3D continues to be addictive in 2004. Unfortunately, the company that made the game is defunct, but there is a huge online community keeping the game alive with lots of awesome upgrades and options.I hope some rich guy, or perhaps a savvy game company resurrects this awesome game someday. I'm a huge fan of combat flight simulators, so I routinely buy all the new games. Nothing comes close to Red Baron for the sheer joy of dog fighting, the thrill of the hunt, and the fear of flaming death. The campaigns are virtually unlimited in their variety. The missions vary from routine to absolutely terrifying, requiring you to `bug out' or die plummeting in a flaming wreck. Even at the height of your skill, the lifespan of your pilots can be very short, or perhaps you will survive the war captured in a POW camp, maimed in a hospital, or victorious with a chest full of medals. A player has to be cunning and skilled to play this game and survive, but with some training, a bit of practice and some luck, you can become a canvas falcon and rule the skies as the Ace of Aces!

5-0 out of 5 stars Red Baron 3D, More Than Just a Flight Simulator
Red Baron 3D is not your ordinary flight simulator program.Red Baron 3D is a highly interactive WWI flight simulation where you can immerse yourself in honorable combat in the skies above France.Red Baron 3D can be played in a wide variety of ways. You can choose your aircraft and fly against any one of many enemy aircraft flown by an AI pilot in whats called the "Fly Now" mode. You can create a pilot and fly from the beginning of WWI, flying realistic computer generated missions in the "Campain Mode".As your pilot gains experience and as the War progresses, your pilot will advance in rank and responsibility. In "Single Mission" mode, you can fly your choice of a number of missions that will test your skills as a WWI fighter ace.You can even generate your own missions to fly, such asbomber escort or intercept, offensive patrols, even balloon busting. You can also play via the internet and pit your skills against other players in real time from all over the world. To play via the internet, you will need to download and install an official Sierra patch called RB3D1078.EXE.This patch will allow you to see and play in the many game servers devoted to Red Baron 3D since WON.NET no longer supports internet play. There are numerous Web Sites devoted to Red Baron 3D where you can get information on how to play the game.

2-0 out of 5 stars Red Baron 3-D
I purchased this game via Amazon.com after playing Red Baron-2. Installed it and had nothing but problems. My system met the requirements to run it but the Campaign portion of the game refused to work. I contacted Sold Out for tech assistance but they were unable to solve the problem. They requested I return the game so they could check it for flaws. I plan to return the game to them(at my cost)and see what they come up with.
I was able to play Red Baron-2,by Sierra, and really liked it. This version is less than I expected and unless the flaws can be addressed, I wont purchase another game via Sold Out.

5-0 out of 5 stars 3-D not much improvement to an already great game.
Red Baron is easily the most challenging game i've ever played. It continues to confound me after years of play. I've never been able to get the online version to work, but that's OK because the "campaign" level is great. You must master the controls and be able to look off into one direction, while flying in another. You will build your pilot up while fighting in the Great War. If you see a red Fokker triplane come after you and you're flying for the French or British, get outta there! ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

No One Lives Forever is an outstanding action-adventure gamethatcombines the campy 1960s-style spy-spoof story lines of the Austin Powers movies with thebest single-player gameplay we've experienced since Half-Life. Clever, funny, andstylish aren't words normally associated with first-person shooters, butNOLF is anything but normal.

Assuming the role of sexy UNITY operative Cate Archer, you must complete 15enormous and distinct missions to keep the world safe from H.A.R.M., anefariousorganization rife with colorful arch-villains. In true Hollywood style, thegameis laced with cutscenes that set the stage for your missions and advance theplot by showing H.A.R.M. higher-ups boasting about their evil plans. Thedialogue in both the cutscenes and the in-game action sequences is witty andgenuinely funny, and the voice acting is excellent. We found ourselves hidingindark corners just so we could eavesdrop on the bad guys.

The comic antics end abruptly when enemies catch wind of your presence.Whetherthey stumble across a body you carelessly left in your wake, hear you creepingabout, respond to a tripped alarm, or simply see you, these foes are allbusiness. They will stalk you, duck behind cover, and call for reinforcements. All the action is straight from a spy movie: shoot a guy on a balcony, andhe'lltumble over the rail and fall to the ground. Fire a gun underwater, and you'llsee the spiral trail of the bullet.

Most missions can be approached in a variety of ways, and althoughfull-frontalassaults are possible, stealthy progression is usually better for your health.Being a superspy, you'll have plenty of gadgets to help you along the way, froma lock-pick barrette to a robotic poodle capable of turning even the mostferocious attack dog into man's best friend. Players who like to send a moredirect message will enjoy playing with the game's full assortment of firearms, including Bond-worthy silencer pistols and briefcase rocket launchers.

The quality of AI and inventiveness of the single-player missions arefortunatebecause the multiplayer component doesn't compare to Unreal Tournament or Counter-Strike. Regardless,No One Lives Forever should be on the short list of any fan offirst-person shooters looking for an unbeatable solo experience. --T. ByrlBaker

Pros:

  • Multiple approaches to nearly every level add to the replay value
  • Loads of atmosphere
  • Contains some of the most unorthodox and enjoyable missions we've everplayed
  • Amazing detail
  • Smart and funny
Cons:
  • Not the prettiest 3-D engine on the market

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply Awesome
This remains my favorite game ever, even if other games had better graphics even when it came out.

Not only do you play an interesting character and you have a great story, the enemy aren't complete idiots. Best of all, the game makes you laugh. I can't count the times, I stopped to listen to a side conversation and was laughing to hard to avoid getting shot.

Valve updated the graphics for Half-Life; I wish Sierra would do the same for No One Lives Forever.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
I'm a newbie in software games and this my first game and I must say its awesome! The game is funny it made me laughing in stitches and yet so exciting and fun I played like I was in the role itself! I'm glad I got the Original retail box version bcoz as a newbie, it gave a better description. I was quite slow but eventually I got the hang of it. I didn't regret trying out this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars NoOne Lives Forever. But youll play it till the day you die!
I decided to buy this game after hearing some good reviews for it, and seeing as how I could get it for 15 bucks as a game of the year edition.I played this game nonstop for about 5 days till I finally beat it.This game would only have been a 3 - 4 without its humor though... humor, not a challenge for killing the oafs of HARM makes this game great.Thats not to say that using a silenced parabellum and sneaking into an area giving large unsuspecting quantities of HARM agents head shots isnt a blast.I believe that this game wouldnt be near as fun if you just played it like Quake or Doom, getting your baddest weapon out and mowing down hoards of them. I think that my goals of maybe getting detected once made the game much more enjoyable.

Buy this game while it lasts, the Game of the Year Edition truly is worth it, the extra level was a blast and among the most humorous of levels.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hey, these good old games are hard to find!
Not everyone can afford to upgrade the computer annually. I have to search on 2 criteria, One; is it worth the time and money? Two; will it run decently on a sub-gig system?
I loved this game. I can't think of a better 20 hours for the money. If your the "run right in and waste em all" type, it plays ok, not fantastic, but ok. After you've played it through once, it actually is more interesting to go back through and try the stealth angle. Some of the conversations that you pick up when your sneaking around are knee-slappers. If you had a conscience it might even be difficult to waste the thugs after you hear about the college money being spent on an Edsel, or the guy who's redecorating his apartment and his mother's dog has a flatulence problem. :)
I would say that it definitely deserved the Game of the Year award. Unfortunately I cannot rate the multi-player aspect of the game. I don't have the ability to play against other users.
In short, for an under-achieving system, on a budget, this game is a lot of entertainment for the dollar, and it's replayable.

3-0 out of 5 stars it's not bad ...... but is it worth your time?
its not bad for [$$], but its not the best game ever made by far.First person shooters are basically all similar in feel. You point and click and shoot the enemy that jumps in front of you.Or you can stand back and snipe the unsuspecting target from 100 meters away.Nowadays, virtually every fps has a machine gun, and sniper gun, and despite the packaging the core gameplay remains similar.WHat makes the great fps is the "angle"Where is it based?Whats the storyline?Does it actually make my heart pump, or makes me curious enough to finish the level?I'm not saying NOLF is a bad game.It is very fun, and i like the doses of humor sprinkled throghout. But because it really lacks a distinctive angle, NOLF is not a "great" fps.IMHO, some great fps games I've come across or played were System Shock 2 (for its eeary atmosphere and chilling exctiment), Alien v Predator (good graphics for its time and scary as [heck]), and the Rainbow Six series (because of their realism)I'm also playing NOLF 2, and its a definite improvement over its predecessor. Before declaring this as the best action game of 2000, or ever (as some would argue), please try out the other fps games I put down here. You will definitely notice the difference. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars After Dark Games
This is an awsome game!!All the games in After Dark Games are great, I can play for hours and I love them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect to play when you get home from work or school
The hilarity of the After Dark screen-saver has always been one of my best sources of stress relief over the past few years, and the After Dark Games provide even more interactive entertainment. With cute graphics, groovy music, and lots of madcap humor--not to mention the fact that they install *really* easily and they only take up a tiny amount of hard drive space--these 11 games are the perfect way to take a quick break from your work when Minesweeper gets too tiresome. They're not made to drive you away from your friends and family, however, so if you're looking for deep, immersive gameplay, you'll be better off playing an RPG.

A few of these games are simply classics with an After Dark twist: "Solitaire" is the classic card game, "Mowin' Maniac" is a whimsical and often maddeningly difficult version of "Pac-Man" that takes place in someone's backyard, and "Moo-Shu Tiles" is just like the game "Shanghai", only with a few scathing twists (layouts include the shape of a piece of roadkill, and the winning fortunes affront players with statements like "You look like something the cat refused to bring in from the rain.")The only one of these remakes I don't really like is "Foggy Boxes"--a version of the famous "dots and boxes" game--and that's just because I win almost every time even in the Hard mode.

The puzzle games, which are my favorites, include "Bad Dog 911", "Fish Shtick", "Zapper", and "Roof Rats"."Zapper" has the best graphics and sound of all the games, and it consists of a bunch of very interesting (but admittedly useless) true/false trivia questions in a race against the clock. You get bonus points and extra time for three correct answers in a row, and then the Zapper jackpot increases. It's not really all that difficult (my highest score ever was 9750 and the jackpot starts at just 50 points)."Roof Rats" is much more difficult, and it's a game where you have to rescue tenants from the top of a large building by detonating adjacent rooms of the same color.I have managed to beat the "Hard" mode in this game only 5% of the time.

"Fish Shtick" and "Bad Dog 911" are both games in which you have to unscramble words in a limited time period. They're both very fun, but they each have two little problems with them: first, words are taken from unabridged dictionaries, so they may seem obscure to people who've never taken courses in molecular biology before.(For example, "otceyo" can be unscrambled as "coyote" or "oocyte".)And second, the clock continues to tick while you pause the game, so you are not allowed to look for a dictionary or other cheating device at any time during gameplay.

The last three games are arcade-style, and they're the most original games of the bunch."Hula Girl" is a platform game that scrolls from top to bottom, in which Hula Girl jumps down platforms, picks up desserts and extra hoops, and tries to avoid things that make her "yuckometer" go up."Toaster Run" features the famous flying toaster, and you control his flight as he flies through a dangerous house in order to get into the nursery and put "Baby Guy" into his crib. And in "Rodger Dodger", you take control of a little purple spheroid and pilot him around, picking up the green things and avoiding the red things. These three games are also very fun, but they're overall a little less difficult than the others.

These 11 games are all different in gameplay, so they should satisfy any gamer who just wants a little distraction--whether it's using reflexes dodging killer red pyramids, or using the old noodle and trying to solve words. The only real complaint I have with this package, as a matter of fact, is that it doesn't feature some of my favorite parts of the orignial screen-saver; I was disappointed to see that there was no game involving "Daredevil Dan", or a version of "Rat Race", or the all-time classic trivia game "You Bet Your Head".These were, in my opinion, the funniest forms of entertainment that the original After Dark screen-saver had to offer. But what we have in the package still works as a funny and thoroughly engaging little diversion that never fails to delight."After Dark Games" is extremely easy to get into and undoubtedly difficult to put down, and I highly recommend it for anyone who hates being an easily-bored person (come on, you know who you are....).

5-0 out of 5 stars It's a lot of fun
After dark game is enjoyable, and my kids love it. but I do think they should have added spades to it. But and all It's a lot of fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars after dark games the best games ever
i really enjoy this group of games, there is something for everyone. im hooked on this and so is my whole familythanks

This is a very fun game with a good group of people playing it. I only wish that I had more time to play it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best game ever.
Starsiege is hands-down the best game to come out on the market. I myself am a vetern of this action-packed fast-paced game. I lead my own squad, the Starsiege Mafia, and I've seen all there is to see. A person's first impression is to look at the graphics, yet why dare comparing graphics against gameplay? The controls are a bit harsh to the "newbie" but he becomes familiar with time. The sad truth is, people don't want to play because it takes over a week, and maybe even a year, just to adjust yourself properly to the game. And others are just so lazy, they don't want to endure the hardships of teamwork, which, sadly, I have witnessed personally within the game. And also, take Izzy's advice, he's the ultimate modder. What makes this game so great is the fact that it does take teamwork, effort, time, and sometimes, for us mappers, imagination. A lot do not like the idea of, how did gamespot put it.."Man-made maps", but that's the fun of it!! The ideas in your brain come out in these maps! Overall, get this game, and, amazon, start charging more for it. It deserves much more credit than what you give.

1-0 out of 5 stars Segfaults
I bought this game a few years ago. I've never been able to get it to run even after downloading and installing all of the patches. Its been money down the toilet.
I'm also not able to return the game because of stupid software return policies.

I wish I could rate it with negative stars

4-0 out of 5 stars very consisent and good game.
Iv'e never played descent 2 or 1, so I have only played this one, when I ran it on my pentium mmx 2, 128megabytes of ram, Ndvidia tnt with the latest drivers, directx6, and aureal3dvortex audio driver, it ran slow, but with a fair frame rate. yet, the graphics, music, AI, sounds, were incredible, but the cinematics looked a little like low quality, but still the game supports eax, a3d, for audio, opengl, direct3d for display and drivers, although i ran a3d and direct3d on it, it looked very exeptable, very nice. and sounded very exceptable, verynice.
but the gameplay was a real question, I got lost after a while, the gameplay to me is just OKAY. the only reason why this game earned 4stars because of the graphics, music, sound, support of display and audio drivers, and that I had the correct directx driver to run it. then I uninstalled it because I never really played it that much, 3years later, when I got my state of the art dell pentium4, windowsxphome edition, geforce2family with tv video out, 256 megabytes of rdram, sbwavedevice, and the C hard drive 40.gbs, it ran so incredible and so much better, I installed it, with opengl support, eax audio incredible support, and using directx8.1, it ran so incredible, like,60fps, and eax realstic extreme audio. besides the point, if you have never seen of played descent1 or 2, I'm not sure if you should play it, but if you do, I reccomend it!

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent 3
I thought that Decent 3 was the greatest.First of all the graphics areexeptional.Second, the addition of above ground levels make the game bothmore exciting and challenging. Finally, The increased arsnal gives thegame it's four star rating.I feel sorry for those who dont allready havethis game because they dont know what a real computer game is.

5-0 out of 5 stars Descent3 Rocks!
This is one of the coolest games I've played in a long time.Basically, you're a pilot and you have to fly through varios enviorments trying tofind keys, kill robots, etc...I may sound like just another mindlesspoint and shoot game, but unlike the Descent 1, and Descent 2, we now havea storyline complete with cutscenes.Every level is connected directlywith the plot. Each is increacingly more and more difficult, but thisisn't accomplished by adding more and more robots.Usually it's in theform of a more complex level, with puzzles that are harder and harder tocrack. The graphics are awsome, and everything is incredably detailed. Robots have advanced AI that varies from robot to robot. Some of theweaker robots, if they can, will escape the situation (you trying to blastthem to shmitheriens) to go in search of more robots, and will come backwith 3-5!Of corse some will come in fists swinging and try to knock theliving daylights out of you and your ship. All in all an amazing game. Descent 3 supports EAX and A3D sound API's, so if your sound card supportseither of these then you are in for a treat!I only have on realdisapointment with this game, and that is the people in the cutscenes looklike they were made of play-dough.Other than that I really can't find anymajor flaws in Descent 3.

The linux version is just a straight port ofthe PC version, so they are in fact, the same game.

Chuck

P.S.Youwill need a decent computer to run it though.I would reccomend a Pentium266 with 64 MB RAM, SVGA 4MB (voodoo 2 or three should be fine as long asit's Direct 3D compatible, I ran mine on a GeForce2! :) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Intriguing....
From start to end, this game has non-stop, heart-racing, adrenaline-pumping action, through the downtown high rises and the suburbs of Los Angeles.

This game is very real, and that's why I mention that it's basically nerve-racking and somewhat horrifying if you don't know where and when your "tango" will kill you out of nowhere.I have had some very memorable moments on the 50th floor of the LA City Hall mission, midnight, where the office room was pitch black with the dim lights in the background.Tangos just erupt with gunfire and scare the daylights out of ya, that's how real this tactical game is, especially when they scream and laugh with a devilish tone, really.

The weapons are totally realistic with that Swat force type sound to it.You know, I was ordering myself to order my enemy to get down to the ground, very loudly, and had to kill my enemy with the AK47 while my team brought him down! What I'm saying is that this type of action just doesn't occur in any other games I've played!

I absolutely love the missions/levels.This one level, an underground sewer storm drain mission, where you had to disarm 6 bombs or so, it was pitch black, but I could see well with my flashlight. With my team members behind me, they caught an enemy down the tunnel with full force, yelling, and bone-crushing resistance! What a scene though!

You shouldn't be worried about graphics--they have been fine for me for the last three years or so, and I have had graphics cards down to 16 BIT, 64 MB memory, and it still worked very satisfyingly.

Planning is a cinch, provided you hit the right commands at the right time (keyboard-wise), while PLAYING.The developers of this game make those commands worthwhile, I tell you.Recently, on a mission where I was to detain a suspect that was part of a domestic crime, I ordered two of the five of my team members to each throw a flashbang and a frag grenade. What a scene!Total action, enemies eliminated in the bathroom with the use of these nifty commands. You can also direct your team members to other locations, ask them for a lightstick, all kinds of stuff.

Nothing is more intensifying and chilling as SWAT 3.I've played a lot of Rainbow Six games. But this game is much more than that.In Swat 3, planning is very realistic with the specific orders it provides, graphics are excellent and show eye-candy on the details, gameplay is so real, sound is terrifyingly real but is so very REAL!!!--like I said before, ADRENALINE-PUMPING!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Investigations needed
This game would be better if it were like the old police quest. IN the old police quest you could drive around and investigate the crime. the only problem with the old version was that it was not in first person point of view.

5-0 out of 5 stars System Requirement
Hey,
I've played SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle for a long time on my friend computer. I want my own game and my computer system is a Windows XP. I would like to know if you have the SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle game for Windows XP. If you do, please send me some information on how I can purchase that game for my computer. I really like that game and I want to play it on my own computer.
Thank you
Trask.

5-0 out of 5 stars tactical fps,Love IT
This game is quite fun, once you grasp the idea of the mechanics of the game. The game is all about teamplay/teamwork. You command a small group of tactical officers, and take down terrorist groups in multiple levels of maps. What I love most about this game is the command system: you issue your orders to your team on the spot, with the number pad, telling your team to open the door for you, and mirror for suspects(etc...) adds instant realism to the game. It's a Police S.W.A.T Simulation. And I love every minute that I play it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and entertaining
Before playing this game I'd never played a game beyond a Teen rating and never had an interest to, generally turned off by violent games, but this one was certainly surprisingly interesting.

In the game you play a SWAT leader (except in different modes) and you have to capture or take down the criminals across the city, and sometimes save airplanes.

The game is violent, but is entertaining and will offer hours of gameplay. It's the first, and best action-shooter I've ever played and highly recommend it. ... Read more

When SWAT 3 was first released it faced two major criticisms, namely a short mission list and a lack of multiplayer options. Both of these have been addressed by the SWAT 3: Elite Edition, which sports a totalof21 missions and full multiplayer support for up to five players in deathmatchorcooperative games. Add to this a well-organized mod interface for facilitatingfurther enhancements to the game as they are developed and a fully fledgedscenario editor and you can no longer criticize this game for a lack oflongevity.

With these issues resolved, you are left with the most impressive portrayal oftactical squad action in the first-person shooter genre to date. Set in thenearfuture in Los Angeles, you are placed at the head of a five-man armed responseteam of the LAPD. A conference on world peace plays the backdrop to justifyallthe crazies coming out of the woodwork. This provides you with a stream oflinear missions ranging from hostage situations to disarming missiles, all setin real-life locations.

While the likes of Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament offer"all-guns- blazing" action, subtlety is the order of the day in SWAT 3. A single bullet can put you down. With no health pack round the corner to come to yourrescue, you need to employ guile and teamwork to survive. Unlike similargames, such as Rainbow Six, the teamwork isn't planned prior to the missions;rather it is managed on the fly with a number-driven tiered command system foryour two-man teams. It works beautifully for the most part, and with ascaleableAI, you can ensure both your compatriots and the suspects put up a convincingdisplay. This, combined with superb audio that blends information and suspensethrough radio chatter, well-modeled graphics, and tense gameplay, makesSWAT3: Elite Edition a worthy addition to any gamer's collection. --JasonWeston ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Probably the best tactical shooter OF ALL TIME!!!
When you get down to it, the rainbow six games are overrated. SWAT teams handle much more than international terrorism, a fact which SWAT 3 protrays vividly. The AI is incredible and really makes for a good sim. Buy this game. It's a good price.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good gameplay, runs on almost all systems, etc.
SWAT 3 has great gameplay, combined with good controls and a realistic AI. Also worth noting is that the AI enemies are placed in random locations throughout the maps, allowing for more interesting replays of missions (the bad guys aren't always in the same spot!).

Another thing that's worth noting is that the game will run on almost any system (Celeron processor? No problem!). I've personally observed it running at fast rates on fairly old computers that have Celeron processors.

The only downside to the game is its infamous last mission. The last mission tries to force the player to move quickly through the map (due to a timer), in a failed attempt to delay the time that it takes for someone to complete the game. This only results in the last mission not encouraging the player traits that are so heavily encouraged in previous missions: patience and strategy.

Over all, though, it's a great game. I highly recommend that you buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars CLOSEST YOU WILL GET TO CQB!!! FROM A MARINES EYE VIEW
I am a US Marine and have been trained in CQB by DEA, Navy Seals, Delta Force, and alot more other organizations. This is the closest you will ever get besides being in a stack and doing the real thing. The weapons are not some made up [junk] they are what we really use. Amazon.com Review

Many action games begin with a catastrophic event, but none matchesthe intensity of the opening level of Half-Life, a first-personshooter published by Sierra Studios. Utilizing a heavily modifiedQuake 2 engine, the game follows a day in the life of Gordon Freeman, amild-mannered scientist who inadvertently opens a portal to an aliendimension.

As Gordon, you'll battle a variety of hostile alien creatures and some not-so-friendly government soldiers while you attempt to escape from theunderground--and heavily ravaged--testing facility. Featuring both an engaging, atmospheric single-player experience and frenetic multiplayer action(supporting both local network and Internet play), Half-Life is currently one ofthe best games of it type.

What makes Half-Life special is its combination of crisp 3-D graphics (supporting many 3-D hardware accelerators), creepy ambient sound effects, andnail-biting action, which creates an immersive, movie-like experience. In momentsreminiscent of the movie Aliens, creatures leap from behind desks, drop down out of air vents, and pounce from dark corners--nowhere is safe, andyou'll often feel overwhelmed and outgunned. Speaking of weapons,Half-Life features an imaginative offensive and defensive arsenal, from a simple crowbar to the explosive heat-seeking rocket launcher andcrafty crossbow. If you're looking for an action-packed, story-oriented gamethat continues to impress after many hours, check out Sierra's Half-Life. --Doug Radcliffe ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Dark and Brilliant Thrill Ride
Gordon Freeman is a scientist assigned to the secretive, subterranean bowels of a desert research facility. An experiment in particle physics goes awry, space is ruptured, and through the breach comes all manner of alien nasties.

The plot sounds cliche, but that's only because so many games have since imitated (or tried to) what Half-Life pioneered. The game is a FPS of great quality and unusually effective storytelling (it demonstrates a classic show-don't-tell technique) and weaves an unsettling atmosphere that is tough to shake. As Freeman tries to escape from his labyrinthine workplace to the promise of upper ground, a spectacular pace is set as he confronts nightmarish enemies... not all of which are alien.

If you don't have Half-Life as part of your gaming collection, here's why you should:

1. A paranoid, oppresive claustrophobia is built quickly and skillfully. There are no cut-scenes to break the spell. Once you begin playing, you're locked inside an unfolding nightmare. Few games (and fewer films) have ever managed to craft such a relentless atmosphere.

2. The AI is chillingly realistic. This is all the more impressive when you realize this isn't a new game. Enemies demonstrate intelligence, tactical planning, and behave as few video game creations do.

3. As mentioned above, Half-Life pulls a challenging story-telling stunt. As Gordon Freeman, you never get all the answers. No book with The Solution falls into your lap, and no omniscient character fills in all the blanks. Instead, the plot unfolds with nuance and implication... allowing a player to draw his/her own conclusions. This could easily have backfired. Instead, it works.

4. The alien creatures are masterfully depicted. Two of them are so disturbingly realistic that I can completely believe somewhere in the universe they actually exist: the "ceiling barnacles", and some creepy things that emit an ear-splitting sonic attack while convulsing their malformed bodies.

Enough said. Half-Life is an own-it experience.

1-0 out of 5 stars not compatible with Windows XP
Ihate to say this? but this game is not compatible with Windows XP OS, so owners of newest Dell computers have to install compatible OS.

5-0 out of 5 stars An old game still worth buying...
Made in 98, but still better quality, play, and design than most games on the market in '05.Good storyline, great AI and graphics, not-overly aggressive system requirments, tons of add-ons available.Incredible single player mode, good weapon selection, and arguably one of the best FPS online games of all time.If you like HALO, you will like Halflife.Very similar, but no limit on how many weapons you can carry, and the levels aren't as repetative.(My biggest complaint about Halo, though it's obvious why, many of the levels and hallways are exact copies of one you've seen dozens of times already...gives a feeling of being lost, and even fed up at times.) Halo does have the edge as far as cars and what not though. I also recommend Halflife 2, the sequel to what I'm talkin about here...INSANE graphics and gameplay.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best
You know, you shouldn't even have to read the reviews. If you see that this game has 4 1/2 stars, even though it was made way back in 98, you should know that its good. But good doesn't describe this game. Its better than great, excellent, or even outstanding.I'm going to have to say that this game is groundbreaking. Before this game, shooters were shooters. This game is a shooter that just happens to have a Final Fantasy quality storyline as well. And don't think that you'll be sitting around all day watching cinemas. No, the entire story is delivered to you in real time via other characters talking.*Note*This is not one game you want to play with the sound off!I'll now break the game up into 5 major categories, Graphics, Sound, Story, Gameplay, and overall fun.

Graphics are a biggy in a gamers life. Now adays with HL2 and Doom 3 out, were getting spoiled, and expect graphics like that when about 4% of all the nations PC's are capable of it.Half Life's graphics are very good, but you can easily see why it was made in 1998.The close up images are extremely pixelated, and blocky. But the overall movement is smooth, and if your rig can handle it, the cranked up Graphics are the best eyecandy available for games made in that time period.18/20

Sound is also a major factor in this game.Creepy sounds coming from unseen creatures, characters talking and giving away the great story, and finally fantastic weaponry sound effects.20/20

Story is one of the big plusses in this game, and rightfully so.Fantastic is all I will say.Fantastic story.Fantastic story telling.Fantastic Pace.Nuf said.20/20

Gameplay is big in this game as well. The controls are phenomanal(sp.), the menu is easily accesable, and switching through weapons is a breeze.Only problem is that there are alot of buttons to get used to.Still, if your commited, this category is also a winner.18/20

Finally, this is overall a very fun game.Stressed out?Tired from work? Then pop in Half Life and sit back.Blowing away monsters is a very good stress reliever.Add to that that the gory effects are great(blood splatters, organs and bones flying all over the place) if you are not turned off by blood. But if you are, why the hell are you playing an M game with a guy holding a gun on the front cover?!20/20

Final score 96/100 which means this game is a rare gem that you should indulge upon immedietly.I can't wait for our new computer to arrive so I can get Half Life 2!Oh yeah.I forgot to tell you it has an absolute kick @$$ online mode!

5-0 out of 5 stars The best.....nuff' said

Robot Wars is a phenomenal game. First i will tell you about the arenas. the original one is in london and is the one they use in the tv show. It has a floor fliper, pit, spikes flame throwers and a pit. The Volcano arena is in Tanzania and doesnt have any thing except a nuke that is ready to blast off. The militairy base is in russia and has a big pit. It also has a bunch of landmines and it is funny when sir killalot drives on one. The Rooftop arena is on a japanese skyscraper. It has a skylight which brakes or you could just push a robot of the side. The scrapyard arena is in Brazil. it has a crusher. The steel factory is in New York. It has a lava pit and a botomles hole. My favorite arena is the oil rig. It is in The north sea. It has a giant drill flame throwers and a gap in the fence

The robots include the winner of series 2 panic attack, the winner of series 3 and 4 chaos 2, the winner of series 5 razer, behemoth, firestorm, pussycat, terrorhurtz, mortis, thor, hypnodisc and diotior. Or you can make your own with a lot of diffrent shapes, wheels, batterys, weapons, armor and extras.

4-0 out of 5 stars GREAT GAME
I am a huge robot wars fan, and I got this game for my birthday, and its great its got some of the great Robot Wars competitor robots Firestorm, Behemoth, The two time Uk champion Chaos 2, Panik attack, And the World champion Razer there are a few inacurate things the damage is a little unrealistic the whole armour can be ripped away the voice overs a little off (He's not Jonethon Pierce.) but its a great game, and you can build your own robot. If you like Robot Wars you will want this game even if you don't like robot wars or you don't know what it is buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best games ever made!
Yes yes, i agree. Damage is unrealistic ect... ect... But all this
unrealism gives fun at 100%. Think about it. For example Max Payne.
No one can go in bullettime. Blame it, it's unrealistic. But you like it. So think about this game and dont blame it unless you did.

5-0 out of 5 stars Addictive? Not half!
This is, quite simply, the most addictive game available on the PC. The Multiplayer format is particularly intense and a heck of a lot of fun.

Fans of both the Alien and Predator movies should appreciate this game more than most. The single player missions in particular capture the essence of the films; when playing as human do not turn off the lights and remember it's just a game is my advice.

A few minor tweaks have improved upon AvP2, and gameplay overall is better. Graphics are still fairly average, and this often makes people smirk at the apparent poor quality. However, I would say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder; the game may not have as slick graphics as titles such as Halo or Half Life 2 but it means that you don't have to have a top of the range PC to run it! But as I said, the game is generally better; one thing's for sure, and that's that the multiplayer gaming is AWESOME:

This is the addictive aspect of the game; playing online is so enjoyable that you can get lost in the action. I won't go into detail about the different types of match or characters but suffice it to say that there's enough to cater for most FPS fans whatever their flavour:

Like stealth? Be a predator and suck in your stomach as people walk close enough by you to use your claws. Like to get stuck in? Nothing better than surpising your prey from the shadows and ripping them apart as an alien. Want a mean arsenal? Corporates or Marines both carry enough fire power to make a small hole in the moon if they felt the need.

Newcomers, or Noobs (got to learn the lingo when you get online), might find the veterans intimidating with their frags going up and up but it's easy enough to soon become a killer yourself, join a clan, and start lecturing the noobs yourself after 2 weeks :)

I haven't yet played a game that can scare you, whip you into a frenzy, or make you laugh (insert evil laughter here) as well as Alien versus Predator 2: Primal Hunt expansion pack.

Buy it. Join the collective. You won't be dissapointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great first person shooter
While the graphics and animation of this game are not the leading edge, it is still a fun and challenging game. A perfect buy for the Alien or Predator fan.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great expansion pack
AvP2: Primal Hunt is a great expansion pack for AvP2. If you've liked the game, you'll like what this pack has to offer.
I sort of regret it doesn't offer more missions for each species, if I remember right I think there's only 3 per each, which means 9 new levels total in this pack.
If you've played AvP2 then pick up this expansion pack as well, it will fill in some gaps and tie some lose ends in the story.

5-0 out of 5 stars A very good expansion pack to an amazing game!
Alien vs Predator 2 is my favourite computer game of all time and I feel that this expansion pack helps to complete the game.

Let's face it, there is no way that you could top the 1 player in Avp 2, it is just the best first person shooter game I ever played and the thought that it could get any better is mind boggling. The 1 player missions in this version are shorter because there are only 9 of them, however keep in mind that this is just an expansion, not a stand alone game so I wasn't really expecting more, some people may have set their expectations a little high (just like a movie sequel). However this is still a very good fps game and I think the makers were trying to make something slightly different from the first AvP 2 so things don't get too repetative. The fact is that most people don't want you to mess with a good thing. This expansion packs storyplot ties in with AvP2's storyplot, its sort of a prequil.

-I like Dunya's missions because you get to use the sentry guns and the turret gun for the first time, and you also can use duel pistols-like in the first AvP where you could use duel pistols, but AvP2 dropped that for some reason. Most of Dunya's missions still keep some of the creepy atmosphere as in AvP 2 so I would rate the Corporate mercinery's missions as a success.
-The Acient Predator's missions are also good, you get to hunt some wild animals at the beginning and then get frozen and wake up in a strange time. The energy flachette is an okay weapon, its about the only rapid firing weapon the predator has, however I never use it anyway. What I really love is when we get implanted by the face hugger, great story twist if you ask me, and where you die, the predalien picks up.
-I found the predaliens missions to be rather disappointing, because out of the three missions you get, 2 are used up as a facehugger and a chest burster, even AvP 2 only used one mission for your life cycle. However the remaining mission for the predalien is pretty good and I'm glad the makers let you head bite now, I never really understood why they took away the predaliens inner mouth in the first place, why would the predalien burst without an inner mouth? The drone from a human has one, the runner from a quadroped has one, there is no reaon to take it out.....Well Primal Hunt didn't actually put it in, but you can still head bite which is important because you get barely any health from slashing the corpses, and if you look closely, the predalien's headbite still doesn't give you very much health.

Now the improvements in multiplayer are where the game really shines! AvP2:Primal Hunt included the things that AvP2 left out, There are new levels, including the dropzone which allows humans to use sentry guns and turret guns, and a few more new levels with sentry guns (and the marines and corporates can use duel pistols). You also can use the new acient predator in multiplayer which you couldn't use before. I like the new predator cloak too, because unlike the oringinal AvP2, your oponents can't highlight your name while your cloaked, whick may not sound like a very big deal, but it makes a huge difference when you are stalking a human because humans basically shoot at watever name they highlight. As the predator you are still practically impossible to see by a human if you DON'T MOVE and I am seen much more frequntly by people in the original AvP2 when I'm stalking them then I am in Primal Hunt, and you can stay cloaked for longer. I'm kind of confused as to the reason why the health bar and energy bars are red now, its not as pretty to look at but whatever. You can also use the energy flachette (no big deal) but, of course lets not forget the best thing about being a pred in multiplayer now...You can slef destruct! This isn't really a good or effective weapon...but, let's face it...you can't not self destruct! I feel like a real pred when I blow myself up rather then give my opponents the kill! Improvements on the aliens are of course the fact that the predalien can headbite, some people don't like this but it is necissary when your the predalien, its tough enough to survive in muliplayer as it is, let alone without the ability to gain health, and the game kept it as fair as possible seeing as you don't get much health in the first place, if your down to minimal helth, you need to bite like 5 heads to get back to full health, and the predalien is also the slowest of the aliens. Another alien improvement is that facehuggers and chestbursters can open vents now, and when your character is stunned, you can move just a little so your not completely helpless. Oh, and I also noticed that your name doesn't have a number in front of it anymore, which is small but I dont understand why we had numbers in front of our names in the first place. There are less servers on all the time on this version, there's less choices, however I feel less overwelmed and its easier to find your friends that you make online

So in conclusion, if you really enjoyed Aliens vs Predator 2 and you like its multiplayer, I encourage you to get the expansion pack Aliens vs Predator 2: Primal Hunt, its not very expensive and its deffinelty worth it, and if you've never played AvP2, get the gold version if you like the alien and predator movies or just shooting games for that matter.I'm going to go play some multiplayer on Primal Hunt now, my servers are usually re-enactments of the alien or predator movies, or of Alien vs Predator. I pride myself on being the first server to host movie remakes (unfortunetly many servers are copying me now) and my re-enactments are always very accurate to the movie, more accurate then any other server. If your ever playing on the multiplayer look me up, my name is G () Z M O <RAT>.

4-0 out of 5 stars AvP2 primal hunt
I am a major fan of AvP2, it is a amazingly good game, i agree compltly with these other people going on about the game having no real plot, the motion tracker blimbing, the dark corridors, the screams! the hive, the only good thing about this game i found was that there was sentrys aviable on "some" maps I am really angry that they did not put them in ally, or qurantine
also i good thing to make this game a sucsuss is that there ned to be better maps bigger ones with bases and stuff like that, so hunmans can use there vicles, MP isfun but its just a big blood bath, people want CooP ness or atleast a battlefield forstperson stratgy like reneagde
but this is an amzing game dont let that through you off, the preds claoking has been made more easy to see gives newbes a better chance but hey they still die lol

2-0 out of 5 stars If you are into frustration...this is your game!
The only thing worse than a boring PC game is one that you cannot win.In their over-exuberance to create a masterpiece of graphic design the developers of this gothic horror forgot something. When you frustrate your audience to tears they take your game and throw it against a wall.Save your money folks.By level 8 (if you make it that far) this bad boy will end up fragments in your trash can!

1-0 out of 5 stars Poorly Done Game
Had so many graphics glitches that I couldn't even play it...scenes would load w/ no map at all.I have a laptop w/ an ATI Radeon 7200 series card driver and DirectX 9.When the maps did load properly, the game play was exceedingly easy and no challenge at all.I wish I could get my $30 back, but the package was already opened and I don't have a shrink wrap machine.

1-0 out of 5 stars Lousy Conrol ruins game
There is a fun plot to Enclave. Unfortunately the controller settings are unnatural and the "camera angle" switches enough to make you sick. It is impossible to see what's going on from a steady view. It tries to simultaneously be a 3rd person game and a 1st person game. Any movement can cause the view to spin or squirrel around. It is entirely inexcusable. That this sort of problem was allowed to persist into the finished version of the game shows a disdain for serious gamers.
On another note, the enemies are stupid, slow and too easy to kill.

4-0 out of 5 stars Welcome to Advanced Dungeons and Destruction!
This may be the best NON-RPG full-action fantasy game I've ever played. The game focuses on applying quick and dirty fighting tactics against a host of the most realistic orcs and beasts you'll ever meet on a PC screen.
The basic bad-guys are very creepy and real, but to the game's discredit, enemies never attempt to evade, and bodies disappear.

You eventually get access to several (12+?) different characters, each very different. You learn the abilities of each while running like hell through a very realistic mediaeval world.Lighting, graphics, and sound are incredible! So darn
convincing, you'll be glad you bought this game. Not too much strategy here, a litttle... but most importantly, you will HACK, SLASH, and SORCERY your way to victory.I'm playing on the HARD difficulty setting, but if you're impatient, play EASY difficulty setting, and advance the levels quickly!I've only advanced to the third level so far (after 2 hours), the levels are short and intense.

This game is a cross between Tomb Raider and Gauntlet, more real than Die By The Sword.
There seem to be very few Dungeon related hack-n-slash games like this on the market. I think I need to acquire them all.

I've heard some hard-core gamers say that Enclave bored them. So, if you want an innovative, ground-breaking, mind-expanding, platform-strategy game, this is not it.

Do you like heavy-metal music, fantasy, and action games?Do you complain about too many controls and buttons on game-controllers these days? Then you'll love Enclave.

4-0 out of 5 stars Enclave
Enclave is fun to play. The gameplay is straightforward as the story featuring a balance magic and battle system. Don't expect too much from it and you'll not be disappointed. If completing a particular level is troublesome switching between characters proved quite handy. Bad A.I. is another frustrating feature of this game. The game is pretty easy to beat when there is a single enemy to beat but when there are multiple enemies to fight the game is ridiculously tough. Some baddies can't even jump across ledges and most of the times fell into the gap. And I never saw any enemy change his tactics from offensive to defensive even if his health is literally down to nothing. There are little flaws like at one time an Orc seemed to be suspended in mid air while jumping from a ledge. Another major flaw is that the blood doesn't seem to fall on the ground; instead it disappears in mid air. But, these glitches do not affect the overall performance of the game. ... Read more
